Saturday The 9th of August will see the second A Taste of Lovedale event on the Wandin Valley Cricket ground. This new event brings together 10 local wineries, 4 top restaurants, and numerous gourmet produce and art vendors from the local area. In addition to the food, wine, and live music, visitors can take part in wine and olive oil masterclasses held throughout the day.

On Sunday 4th May the Wandin Team hit the highway, GPS in one hand and Bridie's Shiraz in the other, our destination Pony Dining, The Rocks. With the memories of the devastating 2008 vintage still fresh in our minds it was great to get away from the winery and present the new release Semillon and Verdelho. I would like to thank all the member's who attended and made the day such a success. The match of Chef Damien Heads' cuisine to Wandin Valley's wines was exceptional. I encourage all members to attend our Annual Dinner in September. 

It's almost time to prune the Member's Block Ruby Cabernet. Saturday 12th July has been confirmed as the pruning day. Why not come to the Wandin Valley for the day and SNIP, SIT & SIP? The day involves snipping (pruning) the Member's Block and then sitting back, relaxing and sipping Wandin Valley's premium wines. A hearty winter soup will be prepared by Bel Posto for lunch. Accommodation is available at Wandin Valley at a discounted rate for the weekend.

Foveaux Restaurant and Bar located in Surry Hills, Sydney has once again selected as the venue for the 2009 Annual Member’s Dinner. Foveaux Restaurant & Bar is part of a new wave of restaurants which are turning Surry Hills into the new Sydney Mecca for hot restaurants. The dinner will take place on Wednesday 3rd September. Tickets are priced @ $120 per person including all wines. The night gives all members to opportunity to meet the Wandin Valley Team to further discuss our wines and thoughts about previous vintages. We will also bring a selection of Wandin Valley’s current and previous vintages for tasting. Further details will be available closer to the date regarding menus. On Sunday 4th May Wandin Valley will be coming to Sydney for our annual members Lunch. The day will be hosted by our winemaker Matt Burton who has matched some great Wandin Valley wines to a tantalizing three course menu. Pony restaurant is located in the Rocks and is one of the leading restaurants in the area. The cost of the lunch is $110 per person, this includes all wines. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, drinking a selection of Wandin Valley’s finest and eating some of Sydney’s best cuisine.

The 17th and 18th of May are the dates for this year’s Lovedale Long Lunch. Now in its 15th year, the once humble event has grown into a food, wine and music extravaganza that draws in close to 15,000 visitors!
