Winemaker Matt Burton & Chef Darrell Felstead
On Tuesday 28th August 2007 at 7:00 pm for The Cork Club Annual Sydney Dinner at Foveaux Restaurant & Bar, 65 – 67 Foveaux Street Surry Hills
Winemaker Matt Burton & Chef Darrell Felstead will benchmark Wandin Valley’s own styles of Reserve Wine, such as the Semillon, Chardonnay, and Bridie’s Shiraz against a selection of contrasting and often challenging international varieties and producers. This should provide a very entertaining opportunity for Cork Club members to explore the wines of the world, and also develop a greater understanding of our own varieties and styles. The wines will be matched to a four to five course meal, that will no doubt highlight the quality of food available at this exciting new restaurant.
Reviewed in the July 2007 edition of Gourmet Traveller, reviewer Pat Nourse had this to say about Foveaux Restaurant & Bar "Foveaux is at heart a chef's restaurant and a place for good eating above all else…..It's definitely the most accomplished cooking I've seen at any new Sydney restaurant this year"
The theme for the evening is wine, food and fun with an opportunity to compare Wandin Valley Estate wines with imported wines of similar quality.
Seating is limited – with only 40 places available.
