Wandin Valley Estate Reserve Chardonnay 2008
"Lots of smoky, toasty barrel-ferment character here, with an intense, firm, tightly coiled palate which is taut, dry and long. It has a touch of austerity and needs more time."

Wandin Valley Estate Single Vineyard Semillon 2009
"This smells super-fine with lemongrass aromas, really breezy and fresh. The palate has a bright, crisp appeal, showing dry lemon pith flavour and taking a chalky turn through the finish."

2010 Penguin Wine Guide – Nick Stock
"Matt Burton and his team made this appealing youngster from grapes bought in from a Mount View vineyard and it won a gold medal in the 2009 Semillon class at the Hunter Valley Wine Show. It has kiwifruit scents. Crisp grapefruit flavour shows on the front palate and green apple peel and nascent honey characters come through on the middle palate. The finish is flinty acid."

Wandin Valley Estate Verdelho 2009
"…You'll find tropical fruit salad aromas and flavours in this rich and full-bodied – but also extremely refreshing – wine which has lively acid on the finish. Drink it young, drink it chilled and also look out for the equally impressive 2009 Semillon. Talented young winemaker Matt Burton is one to watch."

Wandin Valley Estate Bridie's Reserve Shiraz 2009
"Hunter Valley boutique operator Wandin Valley is really rocking under winemaker/ manager Matt Burton. This classic Hunter shiraz is nicely poised with intense black berry and plum fruit flavours, peppery characters, balanced oak and rounded tannins."
