At Wandin Valley we continue to explore the potential of the great hunter white grape variety Semillon. While we have traditionally produced dry, acid driven Semillons with great purity and finesse, we were keen to try as the Germans (and more recently the New Zealanders) do with Riesling, and make a sweeter, low alcohol style.

The Lovedale Long Lunch is a great annual event, held on the third weekend in May. It is a progressive style lunch where visitors wine and dine their way around the seven participating wineries over the weekend enjoying a glass of wine, gourmet food, fabulous music and art.

We knew it was good & the judges agreed whole heartedly at the Australian Small Winemakers Show held in Queensland. Its great to see that this style of Semillon is now receiving the recognition it deserves.

Our Cork Club Members enjoyed a fabulous evening at Foveaux Restaurant, on 29 October, incorporating amazing food, perfectly matched wine and outstanding company!!

The 2007 Reserve Chardonnay certainly seems to have caught the attention of the Press and Wine Show Judges.
